Illustrations about how Program Information at Sea contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals

Program Information at Sea, a program of Rijkswaterstaat and collaborators, collects and distributes data on the North Sea to advance the energy transition, naturerestoration, safe shipping and climate adaptation.

The UN Sustainable Development goals are a framework for sustainability. Lisan Anderson’s research clearly shows that Program Information at Sea contributes to six of the seventeen SDGs.

Data collection, monitoring, digital connectivity and collaboration at the North Sea are not only essential for taking on governmental tasks, they are also essential for a sustainable and better governed North Sea. At the same time, the research highlights the importance of possible negative effects, such as material shortage, maintenance and the impact of infrastructure on nature and biodiversity.

I was asked to create illustrations for powerpoint in the style of the SDG’s. These illustrations show the most important contributions of Program Information at Sea to the SDG’s and I’m very proud of the result.
